Our Save the Boo Bees blend was created to raise awareness for women’s health and the importance of self-care — with a nod to the fierce, fabulous energy that defines Badass Tea Co.

Steeped in Hope and Healing
As we step into October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month reminds us not only of the importance of caring for our health, but also of the faces and stories behind the pink ribbons.
For me, it brings back memories of my family – my grandmother’s strength and my father’s courageous fight with cancer. Their journeys and the love I carried as a caregiver are part of the reason I created The Helicopter Daughter Tea & Wellness Studio: to offer comfort, conversation, and wellness support to others walking through life-changing seasons.
With the creation of Badass Tea Co. earlier this year, that mission now extends even further with our Wellness Collection. Each tea blend in this line is chosen to complement the many paths women find themselves on including prevention, treatment, recovery, or the everyday work of caring for mind and body. From calming herbal teas to nervous-system-soothing rituals, the line was designed to remind us that wellness can be simple, intentional, and restorative.
I also offer Tea for Wellness Consults: personal conversations over tea where we look at what your body and spirit most need in the season you’re currently in. It may be more rest, more resilience, or more grounding but together we’ll create rituals that feel nurturing and doable in daily life. When I started slowing down, it wasn’t by choice. It happened during my recovery from heart valve replacement — a season that challenged me in ways I never expected. It triggered a deep struggle with depression, shaken self-confidence, and a hard, honest reckoning with how I saw my life.
At first, slowing down felt like losing everything I had built. But slowly — so slowly — it became something else entirely. It became a way of healing. I started with the smallest things: sipping a warm cup of tea by the window, letting the morning sunlight touch my face, baking simple breads that made me feel nourished, walking a little day by day.
Those tiny moments weren’t a "fix" — they were self compassion. Over time, they grew into a new way of living — one built on presence and peace, not pressure or performance.
Through mindful mornings, nourishing meals, cozy tea rituals, gentle movement and soft evening resets, I created a slower, more soulful way to live with gentle rhythms and comfort.
That’s the heart behind what I offer here - to share with other women what helped me come home to myself again.
